Watch Me Grow {21, 22, 23, 24 and 25 Weeks}

A big oops!  I haven’t blogged my ‘Watch Me Grow’s’ for Jacob for a month! EEKS!  Jason told me in the beginning when I committed to this, I would eventually forget and start to slack.  I wouldn’t go as far as slacking.  A lot has been going on in the last few weeks that has just made time pass and this morning I’m finally getting to sit in front of my computer without any children (they are in the living room with Jason) to blog.  So I’m not sure where to begin.  Jacob has changed so much over the last month.  He is sitting now!  Not long enough for me to take a picture though…maybe this week…but I can sit him and he’ll smile and then topple!  Bless his heart.  He is also mobile.  WHAT! Yes, mobile at less than 6 months.  Genius?  NO…Second child, YES!  People told me that the second child does everything sooner.  I was sort of in denial about that, but seriously…5 months and able to move and get on all fours?  Thats insane!  He can’t quite crawl forward, but its more of a pushup and then pulls forward.  He does crawl backwards though.  :)

We also have visited my sister and brother-in-law again in Chicago!  This time we brought back some ugly souvenirs.  (Thank you Amy and Nate).  I love souvenirs, but this was just plane ole’ mean!  Needless to say, we have all been sick.  Jacob was sick before we left and we made a visit to the doctor but it wasn’t nearly this bad. Poor little guy! They are so pitiful when they are sick.  And well, I have been sick too.  The only one in my house that hasn’t gotten sick is Haley.  Not sure how she has missed it, but she must have a great immune system.

We also experienced some tornado warnings this week.  Luckily I have some friends in town with a basement so we spent Friday evening at their house.  Who would have thought we would have spent our Friday evening eating dinner in a laundry room waiting out the ‘potatoes’ as Haley called them!  We survived in Richmond, but unfortunately others were not so lucky.  My thoughts and prayers go out to those who affected by the horrific storms yesterday.

Next week…A trip to Pennsylvania!  I can’t wait to see my family and have all the cousins together!
