Watch Me Grow {19 Weeks 1/17/12 and 20 Weeks 1/24/12}

Well, I missed last weeks post. Oops!

I had a close friend pass away and honestly time just got away from me last week.  I was so in shock I don’t think I really could concentrate on writing a blog post.  But here I am…So 2 weeks!

Jacob had been doing so well with sleeping in the last few weeks…until last week.  I decided since he was sleeping so well, that we would just let him sleep at night until he woke up.  The first few nights he did great.  He went to bed a 7 and would wake around 3 AM and then I would feed him and he would sleep until 7 AM.  It then backfired.  What was I thinking?  I should have just stuck with the 11PM feeding and gone from there.  So, we are back to sleep training.  The last two nights I have really been a stickler for eating at specific times.  He is doing ok.  On Monday I think he thought it would be funny to wake up every 1 1/2 hrs…but good thing for the paci, a fan in Haley’s room and a shut door in Jacobs room.

He also napped like a champ yesterday in his crib.  Thats 3 times in the last week. WOOHOOO!!!  We might be getting somewhere.

Jacob got to go with me to work this past weekend too.  This is one of the reason I love what I do and love my clients.  Mama’s are so understanding of other nursing mothers.  Jacob has had a lot of bottles in the last week or so due to me going to meetings and work and then the funeral.  I noticed he was starting to resist nursing a little.  Well, I’m not ready for that, so I took him with me to Louisville.  Thank you to the ‘S’ family for understanding and for entertaining him while I took your cuties pictures!

We also introduced a new food in the last week.  Squash and he loves it! HA.  Even Haley tried it…but her, not so much.  She is really interested in tasting all the foods we give him.  I’m all for it.  You never know, she might like one, and we all know that is way more nutrition than pop tarts and chocolate milk.

One of the hardest things that I have realized in the last 2 weeks is that he is going to be 6 months old in 6 weeks.  How can that be?  I know I say it all the time, that I can’t believe he is already…so many weeks.  But seriously, 1/2 a year! Where did it all go.  Makes me miss my baby.  Oh wait…he is still a baby.
