Oh…Melba….The Sample/Allen Family

Well, you might be wondering why I titled this post oh, melba.  Melba was my pet cow growing up.  I showed her in 4-H for almost 10 years.  How does Melba have any correlation with the Sample/Allen Family?  Well, I have known Gwen for almost 20 years.  WoW!  That’s crazy to say, but honestly it is probably pretty accurate.  It has almost been 13 years since we graduated high school, so shoot, it could be even more since we met in middle school.  When we were kids, Gwen was my BFF and as adults, and 800 miles away, Gwen is still my BFF.  We might not talk everyday, but we always seem to pick right back up where we left.   For some strange reason, Gwen’s Dad has always referred to me as Melba.  Not too sure why, but I haven’t heard it in years and then during this session, out came…Oh…Melba!  lol.  Made me laugh, made me wanna cry kinda too… since it made me realize how old we have gotten.  Love them all!
