Are You Ready for Some Football?? {Richmond, KY Lifestyle Photographer}

The Pike Family now has a special place in my heart.  I had so much fun photographing them this past weekend.  We had been planning this for a few months, so I knew it would be a blast.  I decided to head to the local University, EKU, to photograph them since the dad works in the Athletic Department, I thought this location would have some meaning to them, rather than just going to a local historic home.  Well, boy, was I in for a treat!  Football helmets and footballs in tote, off we headed to the football field.  These boys were a hoot!  We finished the session off at their home with some family lifestyle photography.  The session ended with the youngest telling me he loved me!  And that is why I love what I do!  For those special moments!

A Trip Down Memory Lane {Louisville Newborn Photographer}

I was so excited 9 months ago to get the email that my college roomie was pregnant again!  Carrie and I have been through so much together!  We moved in together not knowing anything about each other, but taking the chance after a few bad roommates in dorms, really paid off!  Little did we know that we would become best friends during college!  We had so many great times together!  I remember going out during the summers downtown Lexington and having a blast and then coming home and crashing on the couch and watching Friends until the wee hours of the nights!   Oh and the UK-Tennessee game our senior year?  Who can forget that!!  I don’t think we ever EVEN made it into the game!!!    I wonder how many hours we spent at Applebees?  Who would have thought that 10 years later, we would be all grown up,  married with two kids each!

I was so honored when she asked me to come to Louisville to photograph baby Lucy!  I felt that I missed out of a lot of the important dates in Carrie’s life so this was awesome!!  The last time I saw Carrie was her bridal shower over 4 years ago.  I was pregnant with Haley and going through a rough time!  I couldn’t make it to her wedding because I was MASSIVELY pregnant with Haley!  She then had her first born 1 1/2 years ago…and well, who knows what I was doing then but for some reason we always missed each other when we were in town.  So here we are…2 babies later!  Congratulations Carrie and Jay! Lets not let another 4 years go by!

Babies First Year, Richmond Baby Photographer

Over the last 9 months, I have really gotten to know the ‘S’ family!  This is one of the things I love about the Babies First Years and my long-term clients.  I seem to find myself getting to know the families on a personal level, beyond just one session! Its what keeps me doing what I’m doing!  Its hard to believe baby Jagger is already 9 months old and we were already talking about his birthday shoot, when it seems like yesterday it was 100 degrees and both his mom and I were miserably pregnant in the heat!!  9 month later, Jagger is getting used to being a model!!  He is such a cutie pie!!!

Watch Me Grow, 30 Weeks, 4/3/12

Wow! 30 Weeks!  What an exciting week we have had!  This week, Jacob has definitely mastered moving.  Not a full blown crawling, its more of an army crawl.  He has discovered the kitchen and every time I turn around, he is headed straight towards the dog food! AHH!  Time to break out the baby gates!  Jacob has also started saying Da’Da.  As much as I hate it, it is def. his first word.  Why can’t babies say Mama first??
